WILLIAM J. HARRIS, JR. 90 of Browns Mills died Saturday evening at Samaritan Inpatient Hospice Unit in Mt. Holly. Born in Philadelphia he was the son of the late William J. and Mabel Smith Harris and the husband of the late Elizabeth Bacon Harris. He was formerly of Hopewell and lived in Browns Mills since 1960. Mr. Harris was a World War II Navy Veteran. He retired from the State of New Jersey as a Public Health Administrator. Mr. Harris served as Head of the Burlington County Mosquito Commission. He was a member of the Mt. Holly Presbyterian Church, and the Burlington County Country Club. Surviving are his children, William J. Harris, III, Thomas Harris, Jane Zaiss, and Kathleen Agey, brother, Robert Harris, sister, Margaret Harlan, grandchildren, William J. Harris IV, Scott Harris, Christine Gerber, Jillian Harris, Michael Harris, Drew Agey, and Laura Zaiss, great granddaughter, Kayla Harris. He was predeceased by a sister, Mildred Moros. A graveside service will be held at Haleyville Cemetery Steep Run Rd. & Highland St. Haleyville on Tuesday October 20, 2015 at 11:00 AM.
