Robert W. Karrer

September 27, 1931 - April 6, 2022

MR. ROBERT W. KARRER, formerly of Heislerville, NJ died Wednesday April 6, 2022 at the age of 90. Born in Millville, NJ, Bob served in the U.S. Navy during the Korean Conflict. He was employed by Armstrong Cork, where he worked as a mould maker and later he was the mould shop foreman. Bob retired after 41 years of service. At the time of his death, Bob was the oldest living Past Master of Shekinah Lodge #58 F&AM in Millville, NJ. Borb served as Worshipful Master and was a Past Grand Chaplain. He was also a Past Patron of Shekinah Cahapter #82 O.E.S. four times. Bob was a member of Cherry Point United Methodist Church for 18 years and served on various committtees. He moved back to NJ in 2010 and attended Heisler Memorial UMC until his death. His wife of 57 years, Anna (Camp) preceded him in death in 2008. He was the caretaker of his fiance’e Katherine Shea for seven years until her death in 2021. He is survived by his son Kirk Karrer (wife Luann) of Leesburg, and his daughter Cindy Murphy of Arizona, and a brother, Charles Karrer. He had three grandsons, Kirk Emenicker, Kenneth Karrer and Keith Karrer; and six great grandchildren Sophia, Spencer, and Scarlett Emenicker, and Logan, Lucas, and Jase Karrer. A graveside service will be held at Greenwood Memorial Park 10th & Broad Sts. Millville on Monday April 11, 2022 at 3:00 PM.
