John E. "John Boy" Whilden

June 4, 1957 - February 25, 2022

JOHN E. “JOHN BOY” WHILDEN 64, of Delmont died Friday February 25, 2022 at Inspira Healthcare. Born in Delmont, he was a lifetime resident and the son of the late Asa and Julia Hawn Whilden and the husband of Linda Corson Whilden. John enjoyed hunting, fishing, antiqueing, going to yard sales with his granddaughter Emily and spending time with his grandchildren. Surviving are his wife, Linda, daughter, Linda Whilden (Ron Peters) of Dividing Creek, grandchildren, “RJ” Ronald Peters, Jr. and granddaughter “Emmy” Emily Peters, of Dividing Creek, Nephew he raised as a son Bryan Peterson, Jr. of SC brothers, Gary Whilden of Dorchester and Paul Whilden of Delmont, sisters, Doris Fowler of FL, Elsie Wooley of Dorchester, Sandra Hickman of Cape May, Donna Derby of Dorchester, Betty Creamer of Delmont, He was predeceased by his siblings, Asa Whilden, Jr., Charles Whilden, Hattie Schaffer, Leonard WHilden, James Whilden, Richard Whilden, Shirley Gendusa, Patricia Whilden, Joan Creamer, Dale Whilden and Helen Kuhns. A memorial Visitation will be held at Hoffman Funeral Homes 643 Main Street Leesburg on Saturday March 5, 2022 from 1:00 to 2:00 PM.
