JANE E. HALL 78, of Newport died Monday May 2, 2022 at home under the care of family and hospice. Born in Bridgeton, NJ, she was the daughter of the late Wilbert F. and Eleanor J. Cox Burt and the wife of Harvey Hall. Jane was formerly of Bridgeton and resided in Newport the past 60 years. She was the School Secretary for Downe Twp. Board of Education for many years. Jane was a member of the Newport Baptist Church and she enjoyed crafts, crocheting and taking care of her grandchildren. Surviving are her husband, Harvey Hall, Jr. children, Douglas Hall (Lori), and Shelly Scarpa, Brothers, John R. Burt (Diane) of Bridgeton, Floyd Burt (Roberta) of Colorado, sister, Iris Burt (Brian) of Port Norris, grandchildren, Kyle Scarpa (Kim), Erin Hall, Kodi Scarpa, Kaylan Hall, Chuck Scarpa (Tina) great grandson. sister in law Pearl Burt. She was predeceased by a brother WIlbert F. Burt, Jr./ Funeral services will be held at the Hoffman Funeral Homes 2507 High St. Port Norris on Friday May 6, 2022at 11:00 AM, with Chaplain Frank Green officiating. A viewing will be held 1 hour prior to the service Burial will be private. Memorial donations may be made to the Newport Baptist Chruch , Newport United Methodist Church 338 Methodist Rd.
