James F. Veasey

January 23, 1952 - January 8, 2016

JAMES “CATFISH” VEASEY 63, of Port Elizabeth died suddenly Friday upon arrival to Cooper University Hospital in Camden. Born in Philadelphia, PA he was the son of the late William and Margaret Fennimore Veasey and the husband of Sandra Fisher Veasey. Jim was formerly of Clayton and resided in Port Elizabeth the past 30 years. Jim was a truck driver for 31 years and had worked for the Department of Corrections. He enjoyed fishing on the Maurice River, spending time with friends and family, especially his grandson Trent, drinking Wawa coffee, eating Tastykake Lemon Pies, taking cruises, and attending sportsman, boat, truck and tractor shows. He is survived by his wife Sandra, daughters, Lori Garrison and her husband Richie and their son Trent of Port Norris, Sacena Veasey and her boy friend Corey Shaffer of Leesburg, sister Margaret Sorge of Philadelphia, special niece Angela Anger and many nieces and nephews and great nieces and nephews. A memorial gathering will take place at the Mauricetown Bridge on the Maurice River Township side on Saturday January 16, 2016 at 12:00 noon.
