Henry Charles Harris Sr.

January 25, 1942 - June 1, 2022

Henry C. Harris, Sr, of Belleplain, NJ went home to be with the Lord on June 1, 2022, surrounded by his loving family. Henry was born in Belleplain, NJ to the late Orville and Anna Harris, Sr.. He was married to Sandra Harris for 25 years who preceded him in death. He is survived by his children Debbie (Bill) of Belleplain, Henry Harris (Cathy) of Ocala, FL, Carol Collwell (Warren) of Corbin City, Linda Selover (Tony) of Millville, Tome Harris (Denise) of Millville Gail Rodriquez (Brian) Ebensburg, PA , Rebecca Shaw(Jeff) Morrisdale, PA, Henry also has 19 grandchildren and 21 great grandchildren and 2 great great grandchildren, and his beloved dog Carly whom he enjoyed taking for golf cart rides. He was also preceded in death by his siblings Orville Harris, Elmer Harris, Edwin Harris, and Dorlores Ripa. Henry worked as a heavy equipment mechanic for numerous companies throughout his career, retiring from Neff Rental of Sarasota, FL. During retirement in Florida , he enjoyed many activities including bike riding, shuffleboard, Pool and soclal events. He was well liked by all whom met him. He loved his holiday trips with his daughters who would dress him up in various holiday themed attire and parade him around town for all to see. He loved playing cards and laughing with his family. He will be greatly missed by all who knew him. A memorial service will be held at Belleplain United Methodist Church 116 Hands Mill Rd. in Bellplain on Monday June 6, 2022 at 1:00 PM Interment will be private and held at a later date.
